People bitching about what the Lincoln looks too similar to. It looks like a Kia, since it has a wire grill. It also looks like a Bentley since it has a wire grill. But nobody is says the Kia looks a Bentley. It also looks like an Audi since it has smooth lines. At this point says it looks like a Spark since it has a hood and tail lights.
These things are on the Lincoln because that's what the style is. Not because there is some Chinese style copycat shit going on. Cars in certain segments have always looked similar.

I think it simply looks good....

I agree.
Jalopnik logic: Lincoln looks bad: UGGHHH SOO UGLLYYY
Lincoln looks good for the first time in a while: UGGHHH SUCH A COPY
Either way Lincoln seems like they might be screwed if internet commenters are to be believed however I have hope that these internet commenters aren't the people in the market for a 70k car because I would very much like to get my hands on one in 5 years.

It bugs me in general when people say car companies are ripping off each other. All cars from the same time period share design language.

i was disappointed they didn;t keep the split grill bit I like it

This is literally how any new car release is treated, are you surprised?
The Lincoln simply looks bland so it resembles most of its segment.

I seriously could not give this enough stars

It looks a bit like a Bentley, thus making Bentley designers angry. It does look good.

Is this your first reveal? This is like the automotive internets new best hobby.
BTW it looks like a Kia because of the buck tooth, not the mesh.

I just wish they'd done suicide doors.

Its not thats its happening. Its the frequency. I'm never on the FP so normally only a little seeps into Oppo. But when people start posting why the new Lincoln looks like x here every teb minutes and there and others posting Kia's going "Nice Lincoln. Lololol I'm stupid. Its a Kia." It unnecessary and pandering to the nth degree.

Not a bad wish.

Welcome to the internet. I despise when people compare A to B all the time. Little things.
Like the Mustang and the Accord Coupe. What the hell is that, anyone with eyes will not mix the two up.
The rear of the new Lincoln looks like nothing I've ever seen on the market.

The problem is that it looks like a generic 2015 luxury car. Sadly, Lincoln has the balls to produce a nondescript yet handsome luxobarge, while the only genuinely distinctive and elegant luxury cars are condemned to forever remain concepts:

With nowhere to go but up for Lincoln, I will say it is a good step up from the basement they have been living in. Bentley characteristics? Yes. But classic styling is not for one maker to monopolize. Not a fan of the wheels, though.

These are also the same people crying because the 911 doesn't have a manual, because you know everyone can afford a brand new 911

probably wouldn't have gotten through crash tests as easily.
